To control all 16 UNI FANs (4 fans each cluster) in one go, a controller is needed, no matter control with L-Connect software or sync to the motherboard. Purchase a three-pack SL120 or a two-pack SL140(including a controller) as the starter kit for fully experienced UNI FANs with L-Connect.When that succeeded I was able to disable the task succesfully, and it didn't start at login anymore. So, I opened the properties of the task (again right click for context menu) and changed the executing user to my personal useraccount. With MSI Creator Center you can monitor and optimize your system performance, and it is easy to set up, with simple clicks to change the user scenario, display color mode, sound effect, LED backlit color and more. Anyway, correcting this was the fix that allows it to be disabled/edited. MSI Creator Center is designed for creators to enhance user’s experience on MSI devices. The latter is a user-group, not a user! It may have caused the fault because I have a dutch language pack, and that group is named differently on my system. The former does not exist by default so some MSI dev might have forgotten to replace a systemvariable reference. Well, as it happens, the taskscheduler gets a fit and looses it's marbles (seriously! scheduled task lists seem to get flushed) when you try to disable it (right click on it for context menu) because somehow it was assigned by MSI to be done by an incorrect user, named "User" or "Users".
So I thought, "Well, why not simply disable it". It is called "MSI_Dragon Gaming Center" and engages at logon. (make sure you run it as administrator if you want to change it) So I went to taskscheduler and found it through the active task list at the bottom. ( second result was shouldiremoveit site, but I can't post external links here ) Where could additional startup commands be hidden? Or by indirectly by which program?Īfter some googling around further I found this page which said it was started by a scheduled task. But in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE branch it does have 2 keys starting up a dll with rundll32:Ĭ:\Windows\system32\MBCfg64.dll (from Creative Technology Ltd so probably sound related)Ĭ:\Windows\system32\nvspcap64.dll (seems like Nvidia Shadowplay) There is no registry entry in \Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or HKEY_CURRENT_USER branch either. (As I have a ordinary user account it get's stopped by the UAC prompt since it needs admin priveleges) But disabling that didn't stop DGC from attempting to start. I also I have a row with name-field "Program" with unkown publisher-field. But Win8 doesn't show what dll or whatever it started. I do have a Windows /host-process (Rundll32) in that list that may indirectly start it.
Are there any other ways to stop this annoying thing? I don't see the merrit in using it. So I still cannot disable it starting up. I have no "Dragon Gaming Center" in the startup list in Taskmanager. I have a GP70 2PE Leopard with Windows 8.1.
